Requirement

The customer, a leading Telecom Companies based in Germany and some more countries in Europe required AABSyS to map the underground optical fiber network along with all the connected objects including the house connection. The customer supplied AABSyS with consumer database and all the survey points on the pre-digitized ground cadaster map.

Solution Offered

  • The scope of the work was to map the underground optical fiber network along with all the connected objects including the house connection.
  • The process involved georeferencing of the scanned images of ground cadaster map with reference to the co-ordinates which were provided on the original maps, using rubber-sheeting technology of Autodesk raster design software. Ground cadaster map was digitized with a corridor of 200 meters both side along the street. The various layers were captured such as parcel borders, parcel numbers, street lines, street names, border stones. Mosaic and edge matching was done after digitization of map-sheets to build a single homogenized map.
  • Optical Fiber Cable lines and connected objects were then captured with reference to supplied Survey points on the pre-digitized ground cadaster map.
  • Attribution of house connection network was done by referring to the consumer database, which was either provided by the customer or procured otherwise.
  • The final delivery was done after a thorough quality check in order to ensure delivery of error free deliverables.

Technology used

  • AABSyS used heads up digitization for conversion of the products. AABSyS team used techniques such as manual digitizing, geo-referencing, mosaic and edge matching, and attributing for timely completion of the project.
  • Few indigenous auto lisp routines were developed in order to expedite the drafting process and assure quality assured floor plans.
  • The team at AABSyS used high end, up-to dated software such as AutoCAD, Estate Manager, Autodesk Raster Design, etc. to complete the given task.
  • AABSyS was in continuous correspondence with the clients in order to solve any queries.

AABSyS Advantage

  • The team at AABSyS quickly understood the requirements and expectations of the project and AABSyS completed the project in the stipulated time frame.
  • The client, the largest Telecom Company in Europe required the project to be completed in a time bound and cost effective manner for asset management of Telecommunication Network for maintenance, planning & use.
  • The indigenous online query management system ensured that only relevant questions were asked by the AABSyS team.
  • The team at AABSyS ensure that the project was completed in least possible time frame.

Requirement

The customer, a leading Telecom Companies based in Middle-East Asia required AABSyS to provide assetization of a large Telecom Network project in the Middle-East. The main scope of the project included, capturing of conduit network, semi duct fiber network, direct buried cable and aerial cable. It also included the capturing of cross-sections for conduits and ducts.

The customer supplied AABSyS with consumer database and all the survey points on the pre-digitized ground cadaster map.

Solution Offered

  • AABSyS has used AutoCAD for mass data capturing and migration tool for migrating the data from AutoCAD to ArcFM suite products such as ArcFM Fiber Manager, Conduit Manager.
  • The data feeding to object attribute was performed directly on object editor of ArcFM.
  • Data integration, analysis and management was done using ArcFM tools such as Designer, Redliner and Inspector
  • The attribution of house connection network was done by referring to the consumer database, which was either provided by the customer or procured otherwise.
  • The quality process recommended included:
    • On-screen visual data checking and updating.
    • Data connectivity checking through inbuilt tools of Fiber manage and Conduit Manager
    • QC of attribute data to be performed directly on object editors to ensure the correctness of non-spatial data
  • The final delivery was done after a thorough quality check in order to ensure delivery of error free deliverables.

The customer supplied AABSyS with consumer database and all the survey points on the pre-digitized ground cadaster map.

Solution Offered

  • The survey points that were supplied by the customer were imported from Field book file to AutoCAD using Softdesk Civil survey facility.
  • Site information such as houses, streets, curb, parking spaces, fences and pavements etc. were drawn with reference to the GPS information with help of field notes.
  • Points/coordinates were placed on the vector file according to their geo-position and entities such as houses, streets, rivers were drawn in reference to the GPS information with the help of field notes, point descriptions and hand drawn sketches.
  • Additional layer specification such as roads, fences, trees, parking lots, and buildings were provided by the client and included in the digital land survey maps. The final map was delivered to the customer in DWG format.
  • The finalized site plans of the given study areas were projected on paper space with necessary information such as title and legal description notes etc.The final delivery was done after a thorough quality check in order to ensure delivery of error free deliverables.

Requirement

The customer, a leading Utility company based Europe required AABSyS to create Digital Survey Maps for Mapping of Utility Lines and Optical Cables. The main scope of the project included, creation of detailed information of optical fiber cable on ground cadaster map in DWG format. The customer supplied AABSyS with scanned images of ground cadaster maps, DWG file containing survey points and drilling information of the optical fiber cables.

Solution Offered

  • The project was dived in four phases, such that the first phase task was to digitized the 400 km of highway and adjoining ground cadaster information, containing elements such as streets, houses, and plots. Individual maps were geo-referenced using the Gauss-Krueger coordinate system and merged into a single map.
  • In the second phase, surveyed geo-coordinate points and information from hand sketched survey data sheets were used to create a digital survey map. The digitized information includes streets, optical cables, electricity lines, fence lines, drain lines, man holes, hand holes, sign poles and fixed points such as kilometer stones. Streets and optical cables were digitized as ‘SPLINE’. The optical fiber cables were drawn separately as per the survey points provided by the costumer. The digital cable maps were merged with the ground cadaster map and cleaned according to the specifications provided by the customer.
  • In the third phase, the digital ground cadaster information was integrated with the digital survey map and merged to obtain a geo-referenced digital map of 400 km of highway.
